Fished Peg 1 again today, 9.30am to 3pm, as weather forecast not too promising. Only the occasional spit of rain, so no umbrella required, especially under the willow tree.

As 2 weeks ago, alternated between close-in to left of staging, and about 6m out to the right, about 1m from the reeds …..

Excellent day once more, with 30+ small Carp & F1’s, a couple of decent Carp, a good sized Tench, a Crucian, 5 x “Chublets”, a few Roach and lots of Skimmers. Best bait was punched meat, but also had bites on prawn, bread & sweetcorn.

And what a bonus ….. A 10lb plus Carp (a very deep and wide fish, so could have been nearer to 12lb), taken close in to bank, on bit of punched meat on a 14’s hook. And what’s more, the bite came while I had an audience, having a chat to another member.

      Another great day’s fishing !!
