The Association was formed in the 1950’s by employees of A Monk, a local civil engineering company, and has kept its name since its formation. It has its own well stocked water, which is usually referred to as Monk’s Pit (or sometimes Burnet Pond).

The Association strives to be a integral part of the community, and though the fishing is strictly members only, the pool offers an amenity for the wider community to enjoy.

We would be interested in members letting us know about any particularly good (or otherwise) sport they have had at Monk’s Pit. Reports are listed on the How Was The Fishing Forum, where you can submit your own comments for inclusion.
